This will begin at 2pm with a working party, grass to cut, shed to sort out etc.
The match will start at 5pm and will run until 7pm.
BBQ will follow.
The BBQ will be a 'Jacob's join' so please bring, in a cool box, something of your choice.
If you wish to bring your own drinks, that's fine, but there will be some cans of pop for sale.
We also plan to have a raffle.
Carp match.
20th June 09.
8 juniors came along to the match which was free of charge, compliments of Morecambe Angling Centre.
Unfortunately no one caught a Carp, so the Trophy will 'roll over' to the next match there on 29th August.
Quite a few Bream were caught however, and a parent caught a Perch weighing 1lb 14oz.
It was a lovely day, partly cloudy, sunny breaks, so not too hot, too cold, or too wet!! Just a light shower early on.
The match ran from 11am until 4pm.
Jamie caught the most fish, so well done to him.

Here at Morecambe & District Junior Anglers we teach young people how to enjoy angling and how to look after the environment.
We have our own lake, HorseshoeLake at DockerPark Farm near Carnforth, which is strictly for members and their guests only!
We teach the country code, how identify and look after different species of fish. We have numerous bird and bat boxes at our lake and soon we will have lots of hedgehog houses. We have a variety of native trees, wild flowers and fruits which all help to encourage wildlife to make a home and thrive at our lake.
MAD strongly encourage families to visit our lake, we have made various provision including hot drinks facilities, a toilet and a picnic area.
MAD are a non-profit making voluntary group based in the North Lancashire/ South Lakes area and receive no government funding. We rely totally on donations to keep operating. If you would like to help us by becoming a volunteer or would like to make a donation please email the club at the above email address.
We have rescued various animals since we started the club. We have taken in a rehoused 2 ducks, 1 chicken and a hedgehog. We place food at the lake for our hedgehogs, we have put various bird and bat boxes on trees to encourage them to make a home there, we have log piles and wildflowers to encourage insects.
We need some bright ideas for fundraising, so please let us know if you think of anything.
Do any parents want to join the committee?
Get in touch if you do. New ideas, and offers of help are always welcome.
