On the 15th November, we fished the "Fur and Feather" match at Borwick. We fished the back match lake and for most of the day, conditions were good with a light breeze and the odd light gust. The lake didn't fish overly well but at least all but one of the members caught. Photo's should be on the site soon. The weights are as follows;
1st - Liam E, 5lb 4oz
2nd - Tom D, 3lb 12oz
3rd - James, 3lb 8oz
4th - Pete, 3lb 2oz
5th - Robbie, 4oz
6th - Curtis, 2oz
7th - Danny, unfortunatley, caught nothing.
See You all on the 13th December at the Cumberland View Hotel at 3pm for the Presentation Party.
BRAND NEW FORUM
Liam has worked hard to sort out the club forum and failed. He has now made a new one!!!
The club have some landing nets for use at the lake, members ring Ken to find out where, but only these nets may be used!
We will inform you when nets may be used again.
Thank you
The net dips are now sorted, you must fully submerge your landing net and handle for a minimum of 10 minutes!!
Keep nets will be allowed at matches but NOT at any other time!
Well done and thanks to LIAM for getting this site up and running again.
Horseshoe Lake is fishing really well, why not give it a try. You are bound to catch and the fish are getting quite big now. If Peter's mum can catch them, anyone can!!!! Some of the Perch are huge!! (Peter's Mum fished peg 19 on Sunday 21st, and something made a massive splash in peg 18, she didn't see it, but it must have been a biggie)
OVERNIGHT FISHING @ CLEVELEY BRIDGE.
was a great success, although nothing huge was caught, they did manage a few Bream and some Carp of around 2lb.
The weather dry, although a bit chilly in the night.
Thanks to Paul for taking charge, and to Ray for staying out all night to help supervise, your help was very much appreciated :)
Thanks also to John & Keith at Cleveley Bridge.
Well done to those who fished the Police match, Liam finished 3rd, Ashley 4th (I think!)

WE ARE STILL COLLECTING INK CARTRIDGES!!!
MAD are now collecting your used, empty ink cartridges from your printer.
This is a fundraiser that could go on for years. Not only will you be helping the club, but you will also be helping to save the planet.
So save your empty ink cartridges for us from now on, and ask all your friends and family to do the same.
Unfortunately Epson and Brother cartridges are no good, or any toners but everything else should be ok. HP, Dell, Lexmark, Samsung etc. We can just stick them in a Jiffy bag and use the freepost address and account number, which is fine, but please first check that you are sending only the cartridges that they accept www.cashforcartridges.co.uk and click 'price list'. They can not accept Epsom, Brother or any toners. Do not send anything that is not on the list. THIS IS IMPORTANT. The address is
"FREEPOST" The Recycling Centre, 13 Main Street, Keyworth, NOTTINGHAM, NG12 5AA. Clearly marking on the envelope 359
If you don't want to do that, that's fine, just hand them in to any committee member.
Our account will be credited and they pay by cheque when balance reaches £10.
We can now take Epson cartridges and toner cartridges which I send to a different company, if you are unsure, just hand them in anyway. Thanks.
We are also collecting used postage stamps.
Please keep hold of the cartridges and let Di know you have them or take them to the next match or lesson.
This is a piccy of James' personal best carp of 20lb and Alex also caught his personal best pike.
Well done to both.
If you would like your personal bests on here let us know, it does not have be at a club meet to count, but a club record will have to be caught at a club meet.
Remember, NO TINS are to brought to Horseshoe Lake. Try to stick to natural baits please, maggots, casters, worms, pinkies. NO BOILIES, NO HOOKS BIGGER THAN A 16 (18 in animal hooks)
